Goya on Screen
In Miloš Forman's Goya's Ghosts, the famous Spanish court painter tries to free his muse Inés from the bloody hands of the Inquisition. When she is freed 16 years later by Napoleon's army, she is a broken woman who gave birth to a daughter in a cell and, with Goya's help, searches for the father of her child Alicia, the missing Father Lorenzo, who raped her.
