BEAUTIFULLY FRAMED
The picture gallery of Sanssouci is one of the most beautiful buildings of the 18th century in Europe. It is the oldest preserved gallery building in Germany. Frederick the Great had it built from 1755 to 1763/6 especially for his collection of paintings. Here he presented painted top works of the Flemish and Dutch Baroque, the Italian Renaissance and Italian Baroque, ancient sculptures and French sculptures of the 18th century.
