GANNA Ensemble is the multinational ethno-jazz quintet of Ukrainian singer and composer Ganna Gryniva from Berlin. Since 2015 GANNA has been performing new interpretations of old Ukrainian folklore songs and touching the hearts of people in different countries of Europe.

The band's repertoire is inspired by Ganna Gryniva's research trips to different regions of Ukraine. She interviewed grandmothers and grandfathers in the Carpathian Mountains, in villages near Kyiv and Poltava. Folk singers told stories from their lives and sang old songs about love, war, the awakening of spring after a long winter and about the strong women of Ukraine.
Often it is only small melodies that Ganna's interpretation makes shine in new splendor. Her ensemble consists of top European musicians who are an integral part of the Berlin scene.
