For over 100 years, women* have been fighting for their rights, visibility and solidarity on March 8th. As a prelude to International Women's Fight Day 2024, a staff working group at the German Theater curated a feminist program on March 7th. All people are welcome.
Various activities are planned: The documentary Feminism WTF (2023) by Katharina Mückstein will be shown in the box. They start with a demo workshop that Irma Trommer from the Last Generation offers as instructions for non-violent resistance. There will then be three short lectures by Ute Gerhard (sociologist, lawyer), Antonia Baum (writer, author Die Zeit) and Nadia Shehadeh (sociologist, author of Anti-Girlboss) on the historical struggle for women's rights, feminist parenthood and the question of how people can be as useless to capitalism as possible - as a starting point for a shared conversation.
Afterwards, from 10 p.m. there will be a celebration in the bar with DJ Kimberly Clark and Casa Marrone on March 8th.
