The painfully beautiful world of fado
Not only in Portugal, she is considered by fans and critics alike to be one of the greatest voices of this time. The successful composer, author and performer CARMINHO gives new nuances to the traditional Fado, which let feel equally power, passion and depth. As a singer, she impresses with an incomparable voice that breathes new life into traditional fado. Her self-composed songs are innovative and fit into the tradition with her own stamp.
Already in 2005 Carminho was awarded as best newcomer by the renowned Amália Rodriguez Foundation. Her first album was considered "the most impressive fado debut in decades" (Time Out Magazine) shortly after its release and reached platinum status in Portugal in no time.
Finally, the great voice of Portugal is coming on tour in 2023 with her long-awaited new album and of course to Berlin!
