Urban water sports highlight at Uber Platz
On 30 August 2025, Uber Platz in front of the Uber Arena will be transformed into a spectacular stage for the European Skimboarding Cup. The best skimboarders in Europe will gather in the urban heart of the capital to show off their skills on the fountain field.

Between the Spree, East Side Gallery and Warschauer Straße, visitors can expect top sporting performances in an urban setting. Whether they are up-and-coming talents or stars of the scene, everyone will be competing for the title at the European Skimboarding Cup 2025 and sharing their passion with the audience.
Skimboarding is a dynamic trend sport in which athletes glide over a thin layer of water on a flat board. The aquaplaning effect enables spectacular tricks and fast-paced moves. Uber Platz was officially inaugurated as a skimboarding spot in 2023 by four-time European champion Adrien Raza. His performances and viral videos with millions of views have made the sport popular. After another successful session last year, the square will now host the European Skimboarding Cup for the first time. Adrien Raza will also be back this year – as a member of the jury for the European Skimboarding Cup 2025.
