The fascination with the cosmos, the big questions about origins and the future, the amazement at infinity, space and time create an experience that connects us all. Electric Lights combines all of these aspects in a new format, thus highlighting the special cross-connection between space research, electronic music and photography that lies in the intensive use of technology.
Photographer and DJ Katja Ruge and the musicians she portrays mix electronic music live in the planetarium dome to create galactic 360° projections and visuals. In a cosmic atmosphere, they tell special musical stories, away from the club, but always with an eye on current electronic music. You can expect a mix of techno and electro, new wave, Italo disco and Kraut, as well as ambient, dark disco and retro-futuristic 80s sounds.
Guest at the premiere on February 18th:
JakoJako, producer and resident at Berghain, is characterized by her preference for modular synthesizers, which are her artistic tool, trademark and passion.
With a musical spectrum ranging from dreamy ambient to hypnotic techno and her passion for analog circuits, creative wiring and experimentation, she has established herself as a key figure in electronic music in Berlin.
