"Eddi and the Big Strike" is a humorous and imaginative play by Michael Reinhold Schmitz that takes up the important topic of a balanced diet. With wit and charm, it inspires not only children but also adults as role models and providers to think. The production is directed by Jessika Haack.

Eddi is furious: The doctor has noted that he weighs a little too much for his age, and as a result his parents have decided to radically change his diet. His beloved favorite foods - chips, pizza and pancakes - have suddenly been removed from the menu, and his candy supplies have also been completely discovered and removed. But Eddi is determined not to put up with this.

Armed with a whistle and posters, he goes on strike and loudly vents his displeasure on the terrace. His plan: hold out until his parents give in! But they remain unexpectedly stubborn. Luckily, Eddi's best friend Fynn is there, who secretly gives him sweet treats, and his neighbor Lisa, who only comes by with healthy stuff like apples and nuts, but might still have a good idea.

The play brings the message to the stage that nutrition is not just about giving up, but also about balance and community - a topic that affects young and old alike.

Celia Müller, Philipp-Manuel Bodner and Wolf-Erik Schulz are playing the role.
