Berthold Barluschke was born in Brandenburg in 1945. Since then, he has led a homeless life. Stasi, CIA, BND - he worked for all of them. Barluschke, alias Kurt Damasch, alias IM "Michael", changed his identities like others change their shirts.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, he moved weapons from the GDR's National People's Army. Then followed a secluded life with his family, dog, his schizophrenia and an HIV infection in Paris.
The film tells the story of how someone in the second half of the 20th century lost his way in his longing to be something special and became a talented henchman for secret services - an agent and a torn man.
The important documentary filmmaker of German-German history Thomas Heise passed away unexpectedly during the preparations for this event.
Deutsches Spionagemuseum will be showing his award-winning film from 1997 and exploring some questions with the film's contemporary witness, creator and producer.
