Welcome to Charlie's theater bar! With lots of heart, music and rousing dance performances this music theatre play follows a lost guest on a search for the meaning of life.
After wandering around for hours, Alexandra Rosewill finds herself in a dive bar on the outskirts of Berlin and just wants to ask for directions. But instead, she is confronted by the enigmatic waitress Melinda with three questions of her own: "Why are you here? Are you afraid of old age? Are you leading a happy life?"
Suddenly, Alexandra not only has the feeling that she is lost in Berlin, but that she has lost her way in general and is faced with a bigger problem: "What is the meaning of her existence?"
Inspired by the book "The Why Café" by John Strelecky, the story takes place in a colorful theater bar, whose owner Charlie has made it his mission to create a place where his audience is entertained and inspired to think. Through rousing dance performances and meaningful music, not only Alexandra is challenged to reflect on her life.
The Hans-Quack-Dance-Company is a semi-professional dance and performance company that has been in existence since fall 2022. Under the direction of the two founding members Christian Quack and Sandra Hans, the company repeatedly brings together different artistic disciplines and people.
This brings professionally trained artists together with people interested in the arts and creates a great exchange that also enables amateur performers to perform on stage.
