The Stralsund event of 1665 is part of a long history of sightings of mysterious celestial phenomena in German-speaking countries. Even Goethe is said to have seen a UFO! However, none of the incidents brought it to the notoriety of the legendary Roswell incident in New Mexico in the summer of 1947. Why are earthlings, authorities and scientists in this country having such a hard time dealing with UFOs?
