Contemporary Jazz - Originals & Improvisation

Danielle Friedman is a pianist, composer and improviser whose music seamlessly weaves together elements of jazz, classical and lyrical improvisation, imbued with vivid imagination and rhythmic flair.


Friedman's academic journey began at the Center for Jazz Studies in Tel Aviv and continued at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts on a full scholarship.

In 2018, she moved to Berlin and became an active force in the local and international music scene. Friedman has worked with ensembles such as Lisa Hoppe's YSOP, Tangerine, Zahir, King Josephine, Invisible Architects and D&DF&P. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards and grants, including the Zurückgeben Stiftung Prize, the Israeli Cultural Prize, the Amarte Fund and a nomination for the German Jazz Prize.
