Café Totentanz

On Sunday 4 May, Heidi Berkmüller and Tanja Rommler want to provide food for thought and create an exchange on the topics of dying, death and grief. There are no experts, no right or wrong, everyone is welcome with their own experiences and views.

Death is an everyday part of our lives, we are surrounded by it. And yet we are surprised when it comes knocking at our door, when it suddenly approaches us. We are too happy to suppress the fact that our time is limited. But isn't it only through its finiteness that life becomes precious?

Heidi developed a fascination for death as a child. Whether it was the neighbouring crematorium, from which ashes regularly blew into the family garden, or the dead animals she found by the side of the road. As an end-of-life carer, she now supports people at the end of their lives. Tanja was confronted with the death of loved ones at an early age. As an adult, she realises that dealing with the subject makes her life more intense.
