The piece “Clausa fores” provides an insight into the psyche of a person who has unlimited power. The performative action with elements of an opera showcases the nature of tyranny and its destructive effects on individuals and society.
The inspiration for the performance comes from reflections on the self-sufficiency of dictatorship and the paradoxical role played by powerlessly observing development and its inevitable end. The viewer can only passively observe further steps in the implementation of the autocrat's last will, who reverently completes ritual circles of everyday life and thereby enjoys unrestricted power and control over life and death.
