French Friedrichstadtkirche on the Gendarmenmarkt
The Bach Choir from the Nikolaikirche in Leipzig, conducted by Markus Kaufmann and Kilian Nauhaus on the organ, will present works by Anton Bruckner and Charles Marie Widor.
The French Friedrichstadtkirche is also known as the "French Cathedral". This actually means two buildings: the older French Friedrichstadtkirche and the slightly younger tower building, called the "French Cathedral". Church services, concerts and other events take place in the French Friedrichstadtkirche. The French Cathedral houses, among other things, the Huguenot Museum and a viewing platform.
