Most people know Charles Brauer as Tatort detective Peter Brockmöller alongside Manfred Krug. John Grisham fans are familiar with his unmistakable voice from the audio books he has been reading as a regular narrator for many years.
Theater audiences have seen Charles Brauer in countless roles he has given throughout his stage career. But the fact that Charles Brauer has witnessed more than three quarters of a century of German acting history and has worked with almost all the greats of his profession is probably something that few people are aware of to this extent.
In his "Stories from my Life," the actor, who has lived in Switzerland for almost 40 years, tells of his childhood in bombed-out Berlin, how he was discovered by chance as an eleven-year-old for film, his beginnings on the stage and in front of the camera, his acting training and the many stations of his eventful life. Warm-hearted, pointed, personal and authentic - unmistakably Charles Brauer.
An event by Literatur LIVE in cooperation with Zytglogge, Finch&Zebra and Thalia Buchhandlung.
