guided tour at Christmas time for families with children from the age of 6
Christmas is a festival steeped in tradition: people decorate their houses, visit Christmas markets, get together with family and friends, celebrate and dine, give each other presents and maybe go to church. Where do these traditions come from? How did people celebrate in the past and what does everyone know about the Christmas traditions in the royal family?
During the guided tour through selected rooms, the history of Christmas in Berlin will be discussed and insights into the past of Charlottenburg Palace, which was a popular place for festivities, especially in the 18th century, will be given. A Christmas fairy tale read aloud or a Christmas carol sung together conclude the journey through time into the past.
Participation of adults only when accompanied by children.
