The piece is based on a novella by the French writer Prosper Merimée and was adapted by Georges Bizet in his opera about great feelings of love, power, freedom and death. Dagmar Flemming began her music studies at the University of the Arts and completed it with a degree in solo and concert harpist at the Hans Eisler University of Music. She perfected herself in master classes for classical, medieval and baroque harp.

Her special love is the richness of Celtic music and harp. Sonja Walter completed her training in singing, dance, acting and piano in London and Berlin. Her engagements took her throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. She has appeared in countless Berlin productions of musicals and has a wide-ranging repertoire of opera, operetta, art song, church music, musicals, chansons and pop.
