The special exhibition “Canops. Möbel von Welt” introduces the German-born royal carpenter “José Canops”, who worked for the Spanish King Charles III. created furniture of fascinating international quality.
On a tour of the exhibition, you will discover the works of art exhibited in Germany for the first time and will be guided into a unique cosmos in which Italian tradition, Parisian luxury and contemporary enthusiasm for the exotic worlds of Asia combine with the precision of German carpentry and the wealth of Spanish colonial unite the world.
