An evening of comedy with YidLife Crisis (in English and Yiddish)
Yidd-ish, kosher-ish, blasphem-ish: Eli Batalion and Jamie Elman alias Chaimie und Leizer of YidLife Crisis reflect on the modern Jewish experience with a healthy dose of humor.
For the first time ever in Berlin, the boychiks from Montreal present an evening of comedy, film and music, which includes investigating the German capital with their special brand of chuzpe.
YidLife Crisis is the worldwide first English-Yiddish web series, an homage to yiddishkayt and a love letter to the Jewish-Canadian experience, complete with bagels and a grain of salt.
- In English and partly Yiddish.
- No need to be Jewish nor knowledge of Yiddish required. Sense of humor requested.
In cooperation with the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg and the Embassy of Canada to Germany.
YidLife Crisis is a Yiddish comedy web series and Jewish cultural brand created by two friends, Eli Batalion and Jamie Elman, wanting to pay homage to the yiddishkayt in their upbringing and the Jewish comedic lens on life with which they were raised, reflecting modern Jewish identity.
What started as a passion project turned into a hit with over 3,000,000 video views and 30,000 subscribers, global press, awards and accolades, appearances and shoots around the world.
