Guided tour with Palace Director Dr. Margrit Schulze, SPSG

King Frederick William I used black male youths who were deported to Prussia during his reign for service as minstrels, especially as pipers for the royal regiment.

Like the "Tall Guys," they were also expected to be tall and wore a uniform that was somewhat different from the other minstrels. The Prussian royal family profited greatly from their splendor and skill during public performances.

As part of the theme year Churfürst - Kaiser - Kolonien
