Friendship, Freedom and Graffiti – Reading with Johann-Christof Laubisch
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the trendy bar "Watt'n ditt?" in Berlin-Schöneweide invites you to a reading with Berlin artist Johann-Christof Laubisch, actor, rapper (Le First), podcaster, and author.
Laubisch presents his illustrated book "BIF CREW – Berliners in Freedom": a visually powerful homage to the Berlin graffiti and hip-hop scene at the turn of the millennium.
The focus is on Yoshi, 14, who grew up between Köpenick and Tiergarten – in a world of violence, drugs, and loss. Graffiti becomes an escape, a form of expression, and a community for him. Nights at parties, in tunnels, and with the police – a life on the fringes of the norm, told with power and warmth.
The illustrated book combines autobiographical episodes with striking images from a subculture that rarely comes to light – raw, rebellious, and creative.
An invitation to immerse yourself, remember, and exchange – directly from the neighborhood and without filters.
Following the reading, there will be a book signing, perhaps even a spontaneous rap performance.
