A fairytale play by Johannes Galli, inspired by the French fairytale of the same name.
A rich merchant gets lost in the forest and discovers a mysterious castle. The castle's owner, a hideous Beast, grants the poor man entrance. To fulfill his beloved daughter Bella's only wish, the merchant steals a rose he finds in the castle garden. The Beast catches him in the act and demands that he stay with him forever as punishment.
To save her father, the beautiful Bella decides to take her father's punishment and sets out to find the Beast. She quickly realizes that the Beast harbors a deep secret. Will she succeed in breaking the enchanted prince's curse and freeing him with the power of love?
