Born and living in Mali, Ballaké Sissoko is a master of the kora and elicits irresistible meditative sounds from this African bridge harp.
In this concert, Sissoko performs with three French jazz instrumentalists: cellist Vincent Ségal, saxophonist Émile Parisien and accordionist Vincent Peirani.
The result:
A sound in which Ballaké Sissoko's virtuoso and at the same time spiritual playing enters into a happy union with the French flair exuding music-making style of his partners - light-footed and profound at the same time.
