Silent film by Joe May from 1929, accompanied live on the Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ by Jörg Joachim Riehle

The tragedy of a Schupo officer who catches a seductively beautiful woman stealing jewels, then falls in love with her and finally comes under suspicion of murder because of her. He is arrested by his father, a chief constable. But the woman he loves, who initially wanted nothing to do with him, saves him by accusing herself of the theft and testifying that it was not murder but self-defense. (Stiftung Deutsche Kinemathek)
