The art commissioner of the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia (EKBO), Pastor Hannes Langbein, and the St. Matthäus Foundation, cultural foundation of the EKBO, invite you to the annual art service "My Psalm" in the St. Matthäus-Kirche.
The sermon is traditionally given by Bishop Dr. Christian Stäblein, the psalm interpretation comes from the poet and translator Yoko Tawada.
For more than 25 years, contemporary poets have been interpreting biblical psalms with their own poetry as part of the "My Psalm" art services.
Yoko Tawada dealt with Psalm 102 this year: "Lord, hear my prayer and let my cry come to you!" Christian Stäblein and contemporary music - improvisations and music by Giacinto Scelsi and Lisa Bielawa, played by the musicians Anna Faber (violin) and Yodfat Miron (viola) of the soloist ensemble Kaleidoskop.
After the service, Bishop Stäblein invites you to a reception in front of St. Matthew's Church.
