one or two things I know about her (who the fuck is Alice?)

Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, the Lumière brothers and Fritz Lang – these are the well-known names of early film history. but it's just like that one terrible British band from the seventies whose name I can't remember once sang: Who the fuck is alice? This musical theater evening is dedicated to forgetting and its consequences - and tells of the world's first female film director: Alice Guy Blaché.

A woman stands on stage in a cinema. She gives a speech, but no one hears her. She paces back and forth, but no one is watching. Finally she remains in the place of oblivion, alone on a film set that is a cramped apartment.

Loosely based on Virginia Woolf's A Room Of One's Own and Jean-Luc Godard's Deux Ou Trois Choses Que Je Sais D'elle, with music from the song cycle Clairières Dans Le Ciel by Lili Boulanger.
