150 years of the Köpenick Men's Choir – Cöpenicker Liedertafel 1875 e.V.

The Köpenick Men's Choir - Cöpenicker Liedertafel 1875 e.V. is one of the oldest men's choirs in Berlin and will celebrate its impressive 150th anniversary in 2025. After the Second World War, 23 singers came together on November 4, 1946 to continue the long tradition of Berlin men's singing. At its peak, the choir grew to up to 90 members. Today it has 26 singers, mostly of advanced age, and is therefore always on the lookout for new voices. Interested singers are always welcome!

The choir owes its artistic level largely to its long-time director Karl-Heinz Werner, under whose leadership regular New Year's, spring and autumn concerts were held together with the Köpenick choir ensemble. These concerts, mostly in the Köpenick town hall or in the Christ Church in Oberschöneweide, inspire a loyal audience and document the musical development of both choirs. Since 2017, the artistic direction has been in the hands of Ralph Splettstößer.

In addition to its own concerts, the Köpenick Men's Choir is actively involved in the region. It regularly takes part in the Köpenick Summer, singers' meetings in Köpenick and in the zoo, the Treptow Harbor Festival and with performances in charitable institutions.
