The actor became known to a broad public through his role as Bernd Stromberg in the comedy television series of the same name on ProSieben. For his role as a disgusting boss, he was awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize (2006) and the German Comedy Prize three times in a row (2005, 2006, 2007).
