Release your inner animal. Behave out of character. Who let the dogs out? Eszter Parragi, Mila J. Dragar and Michael M. Janßen wallow, gnaw, flutter and float in poetry, prose and staged readings. From pigeon to air dog and beaver to apocalypse piggy. The bee expert Monica Schliemann has been invited as a special guest.
(EVENT IN GERMAN)
Michael Janßen was born in 1962, started school in English in Canada in 1968 and returned to Germany bilingually in 1970. Studied German, English and journalism in Göttingen. Had: countless jobs in catering, retail, hotels, etc. Lived: in Budapest from 1996 to 2021. Gave language lessons (German) and wrote. And wrote: since 1996 on the prose poem "Abschiednehmen Mit Worten", two chapters of which were awarded the Aurum Prize 2021. And continues to write: poem after poem, since 2021 in Berlin.
Mila J. Dragar lives in Berlin and sits there hour after hour in the pose of the thinker, pondering the meaning of life. Only sometimes is she distracted by a purring or cackling muse moving over her and asking her to write a story. In this way, she moves from realisation to realisation, has bought a ukulele, painted a few stones and put numerous earthworms from the pavement into the grass. As far as writing is concerned, she has published various stories in anthologies and magazines, reads her texts at readings or reading stages or shouts them through the park with a microphone. Mostly, however, she sits and thinks, eagerly awaiting the day when she no longer needs to think because she has finally thought of everything.
Eszter Parragi
born in Dombóvár, Hungary, freelance author and theatre maker, lives and works in Berlin. She studied literature and history M.A. in Szeged, Hungary, after which she worked as a secondary school teacher in Budapest. At the same time, she led the independent theatre group "ÉgésFöld" and staged several classical plays with them in Budapest. She has become increasingly involved with movement and dance, with a focus on contemporary dance and improvisation. She completed her second degree in Dance Studies M.A. at the Free University in Berlin in 2018. Since then, the connection between body and word, movement and text has been at the centre of her interest. She has published her poems in the Hungarian journal for contemporary literature Ùj Nautilus Budapest from 2020 to the present.
