On 11 September 2023, HKW hosts a multidisciplinary one-day gathering in commemoration of the 1973 coup d’état in Chile in order to explore questions around the role of cultural (post)memory in the repair, transformation, and renaissance of the social fabric in Chile fifty years after this socio-political, economic, and affective breaking point.
This gathering also considers the impact of the coup d’état in Chile to the rest of the world—politically, economically, socially, and otherwise.
