Akinbode Akinbiyi (*1946 Oxford, UK) is the winner of the Hannah-Höch-Prize 2024. For his street photography Akinbiyi, who has lived and worked in Berlin since 1991, wanders the megacities of this world. Lagos, Bamako, Berlin, Durban – urban space is his workstation.
With about 120 photographs drawn from several series that have evolved over time, the solo show offers insights into the extensive œuvre of this internationally renowned photographer and writer.
