How can social themes be negotiated in comics? Illustrator and draftswoman Irem Kurt will address this question in the upcoming edition of "Abends im Verstärker," the workshop for adults at Haus Bastian - Center for Cultural Education of the National Museums in Berlin.

Irem Kurt will present her working method and guide joint drawing. DJ Sarj will accompany the workshop musically.
In her artistic practice, Irem Kurt deals with topics such as racism, urban and cultural history, representation, and intersectional feminism. Her humorous and playful illustrations are sensitive to diversity and discrimination. Colors and patterns are an important design element. She is also a co-founder of the ousa collective.
