A performative happening as part of the nationwide theater campaign "7000 seedlings - scenes for tomorrow" by Performing for Future

»The future we want must be invented. Otherwise we'll get one that we don't want.« (Joseph Beuys)

The world as we know it will soon no longer exist. But what the future will look like remains uncertain despite numerous models, forecasts and scenarios. Can we still prevent the worst consequences of climate change, or do we face an apocalyptic future? What we sow today determines the world of tomorrow.

For the 7,000 seedlings campaign, playwrights and writers from literature, music, poetry and science were called upon to design scenes for tomorrow: utopian, dystopian, empowering or controversial. 65 texts by 51 authors were received.

Two of the texts will be presented as part of the nationwide theater action days on Friday, September 22nd and Saturday, September 23rd at the Heimathafen Neukölln: »Please, put down your gun!« by Therese Schmidt and »The Big Green Great Super Power Deal« by Wolfgang Heiniger.
