International Competition of Young German-Language Prose and Poetry
The open mike promotes young literary talent and offers young authors a stage, brings them into contact with the literary public and serves to build networks. The open mike provides sustainable support for young talents and helps them to develop their own literary voice.
Rudi Nuss, Yade Yasemin Önder and Katrin Pitz are former finalists of the open mike. Now they present their freshly published debuts. They will be accompanied by their publishers and editors, who will introduce the authors and give insight into their publishing work.
Rudi Nuss ("Reality is Coming") with Hendrik Rohlf (Diaphanes)
Yade Yasemin Önder ("We know we could, and fall in sync") with Jan Valk (Kiepenheuer & Witsch)
Katrin Pitz ("such days have always been there too") with Dinçer Güçyeter (Elif Verlag)
The 30th open mike is an event of the Haus für Poesie and eurobylon e.V. in cooperation with Heimathafen Neukölln and Allitera Verlag and is supported by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe. Presented by taz, BÜCHERmagazin and Deutschlandfunk Kultur.
