TraumaZone, together with The Cube of Unknowing, will perform a live-coded sound and video piece inspired by ‘Ahauntology’, evoking lost futures and ghostly fragments of the past.

Kallie Lampel, on the other hand, creates evolving ambient soundscapes through loops, repetitions and texturally rich soundtracks for imaginary worlds.

The event concludes with Ginés Olivares, who brings experimental poetry into dialogue with cinema and the moving image.

Ginés Olivares was born in Santiago de Chile and studied film and television at the Universidad Arcis. In 2002, he moved to Berlin and worked as an editor for documentary films. He has published ‘Vertically Challenged’, a work of experimental poetry, published by A Ñoñi Again Microediciones. He collaborates with the collective mmmmmfilms (UK-DE) and explores the dialogue between poetry and visual narratives.

Kallie Lampel is a Berlin-based experimental/ambient musician. Through the collage-like use of loops and repetitions, Lampel creates progressive dreamscapes or ‘psychic soundtracks’ to both express and evoke mental images. Recursive yet constantly evolving, his music blurs the boundaries between melody, rhythm and texture, treading the fine line between composition and atmosphere.

TraumaZone is a live-coding duo from Leipzig, comprising video artist Ksenia Sova and composer Fyodor Stepanov. Their main aim is to politicise the art scene by bringing important issues into focus and creating a safe space for discussion. For this performance, TraumaZone will be joined by sound artist Francis Heery, whose work is inspired by science fiction, occult philosophies and bioaesthetics. Together, they explore the concept of hauntology – a philosophical concept that describes how the present is haunted by lost futures, failed utopias and the remnants of the past.

Through the real-time deconstruction of motifs inspired by the ‘Ghost Box’ label, the performance treats nostalgia not as a memory, but as a ghostly presence – dislocated, unresolved and persistently shaping the contours of the present.
