The illustrator and comic-book author Rinah Lang has drawn on her experiences of perimenopause in an autobiographical non-fiction comic, describing this phase of life as a second ‘coming of age’: unvarnished, insightful and full of warmth.

In her reading, the author takes the audience on a journey through her search for answers amidst physical and emotional upheavals, societal expectations, blind spots in gender-specific medicine, age discrimination and beauty ideals. Together with gynaecologist Dr Birgit Nauschütz, Rinah Lang explores individual topics in greater depth and answers questions from the audience, either asked live or submitted via the question box. Attendees are also welcome to share their own experiences and perspectives.
An evening for anyone who is currently going through this, is about to face it, or simply wants to learn more about a topic that still receives far too little attention.
