Head out to Tempelhofer Feld – join us on the wire

Learn how to walk on a tightrope and explore greater heights and new tricks in this two-day intensive workshop.

This workshop is aimed at beginners and those with some experience, adults as well as young people.

In a group of 15 to 20 people, you’ll learn – depending on your level of experience – the basics of tightrope walking or develop your skills on the 2-metre or 6-metre rope. You’ll also practise various tricks and sequences on the rope.

The experienced trainers will guide you from your very first steps and support you on your personal learning journey.

Two fantastic days of learning together, getting active and meeting new people! Right in the heart of Berlin at Tempelhofer Feld.

Why walk on a tightrope?

Balancing helps you manage your fears, test your limits and boosts your self-confidence. And above all: it makes you happy.

What you need to know

As the balance pole weighs between 5 and 7 kg, the sessions are suitable for anyone aged 11 and over.

There is no upper age limit.

The facility is open to everyone during Tempelhofer Feld’s opening hours. Spectators are always welcome.

The courses and workshops at the facility take place only at the times specified on the organiser’s website.

You’ll be balancing outdoors. Weather conditions may lead to restrictions. Please therefore always check the dates, exact times and availability on the organiser’s website. Tickets can only be booked there.

Do you have any questions?

All the important information has been compiled in the FAQs.

Don’t speak German? No problem!

The instructors speak fluent English and can lead the workshop in both languages.

Where?

You’ll find the team at Tempelhofer Feld, at the south-eastern end next to the skate park (the location isn’t shown quite correctly on the map). The nearest entrances to the field are on Oderstraße/Leinestraße. It’s best to get there by public transport.
