In this painting class, we’ll approach painting from the ground up. In a small group, you’ll learn step by step the basics of painting with oil paints, acrylics, and pastels. In each session, the exercise will be demonstrated to everyone and then guided on an individual basis. Painting is primarily about developing a good sense of colors and how they interact. We’ll work with photographs and still lifes. By the end of the course, you’ll have a basic understanding of colors and shapes and know which painting techniques are best suited for different effects.
