Veit Sprenger’s stories are about a freediver, birds, real excesses, Mr. Siestrup in prison, and many other important things that urgently needed to be told. Katrin Seddig’s essays are about rabbits, hair, love, mending, gyms—of course—and many other important topics that have never been addressed (rarely, very rarely). Katrin Seddig was born in 1969 in Strausberg in the GDR and has lived in Hamburg since 1994. In 2010 and 2015, she received the Literature Promotion Award; in 2019, the City of Hamburg Literature Prize; and in 2020, the Calw Hermann Hesse Fellowship and the Hubert Fichte Prize. She was a member of the long-running Hamburg reading series “Liebe Für Alle” and, since 2024, has been part of the reading series “Wir sind spät, aber es ist noch heute” at Nachtasyl. Since 2013, she has written a regular column for the taz (“Fremd und Befremdlich,” “Zu Verschenken”). In 2023, her sixth novel, *Nadine*, was published. She has also written various texts, essays, and short stories for anthologies, magazines, newspapers, radio programs, etc. (including an essay for *die horen*—Volume 254: “This World Needs to Be Cleaned Up, August 1914: Authors Look at the Cities of Europe,” various “Literaturquickies,” rororo anthologies, Arche Verlag, leykam:, satyr, culturbooks, *Die Zeit*, *Das Magazin*, *taz*, WDR, etc.)

Veit Sprenger has worked as a nurse, a session musician, a domestic helper, a teacher, a delivery person, and a journalist. He studied medicine in Frankfurt am Main and theater in Giessen. He is a founding member of the artist collective Showcase Beat Le Mot, with which he has developed and performed more than forty plays worldwide. He has co-curated international exhibitions and festivals and produced short films, music videos, and radio plays. As an author and theater artist, he has collaborated with Thies Mynther (Phantom Ghost), Gudrun Gut, Alex Murray-Leslie (Chicks on Speed), and Andreas Dorau, among others. His writings on theater have been published in theater heute, tanz, and kunstforum, among others, and translated into several languages.
