Ä
Dimly lit venue with live music
With a bright red neon sign, the Ä draws guests from Weserstraße into the bar of the same name, where they are treated to cool drinks, a dimly lit pub atmosphere and select live concerts. For years, the Ä has been a regular haunt for creatives and night owls alike – alongside music, drinks and the atmosphere, a pool table and a board game corner ensure entertainment and long nights.
A Berlin meeting place on Weserstraße
Weserstraße in Neukölln is particularly bustling at the weekend. Here, bars, pubs, pubs and dance clubs line the street – and right in the middle of the hustle and bustle, Ä awaits you. Consisting of a spacious entrance area with a bar and a dimly lit back room, affordable beers and delicious cocktails are served here. With its small but excellent line-up of regular DJs, dance music is also played here from time to time . The Ä is a Berlin all-rounder.
A mixed crowd amidst floor lamps and leather sofas
It’s not just the lovingly curated vintage interior, but also the crowd that gives Ä its Neukölln charm: students, neighbours, expats and scene-goers sit together on the well-worn sofas, clink glasses of Sonnen Pils and discuss everything under the sun. In the warmer months, Ä opens up to the outside with a few chairs on the pavement, where the evening can sometimes stretch late into the night in pleasant company.
Our tips
- The Ä’s bar is renowned for its selection of bottled beers and spirits – everything from craft beer to local classics is on offer.
- The Ä is a proper Neukölln pub: wooden tables, candlelight, second-hand furniture, and the dress code is casual to non-existent.
- At the weekend, it can get particularly busy after 9 pm. First come, first served here too.
