Landwehrkanal

Green, water and pretty cool

The Landwehr Canal shows Berlin from its relaxed side - green, urban and lively. One of the most charming urban landscapes stretches along the water between Kreuzberg and Neukölln. In Kreuzberg, the walk begins on Prinzenstraße, where the popular Prinzenbad pool provides a refreshing summer dip. Directly opposite on Urban-Ufer, a restaurant boat and extensive meadows on Fraenkelufer invite you to linger.

Just a few bridges further along on the Neukölln side, Maybachufer offers an equally lively scene: weekly markets, boules courts and multicultural flair make the promenade a popular meeting place. Cafés and restaurants on Paul-Lincke-Ufer and Kiehlufer reflect the diversity of the local residents. The area between Forster Straße and Wildenbruchbrücke is quieter - an ideal place for a walk or a relaxing boat trip. Together, Kreuzberg and Neukölln form a green ribbon through the centre of Berlin - diverse, creative and inviting.
