The harness racing event of the year

From August 9 to August 24, the event of the year will take place at the Mariendorf harness racing track: the battle for the Derby crown. Sulky drivers and racehorse owners from all over Europe will compete with their horses for an enormous prize purse.

Across nearly 70 races held on six event days, winners and top finishers will vie for a total prize pool of over one million euros. At the heart of the action are, of course, the heats and the final of the trotto.de 130th German Trotting Derby.

But it's not just the athletes who can win—visitors to Mariendorf also have chances to score. On the one hand, with the right bet on win or place; on the other, through numerous prize raffles featuring rewards with a total value of around 40,000 euros.

The Trotting Derby has been held annually in Berlin since 1895 and has become a highlight of the capital’s social calendar. It’s a celebration for all ages, including the youngest guests, with colorful activities like face painting, bouncy castles, and free pony rides.

Admission Prices: €10 (reduced: €7) — includes €4 in betting vouchers. Free entry for those under 18.
An exception is the event on August 21, which offers a short program of just four races and free admission.

The main entrance to the track, located on Mariendorfer Damm, is on Kruckenbergstraße.
The best way to reach the venue by public transport is via U-Bahn line U6 (terminus: Alt-Mariendorf) and bus lines M76 and 179.
