Theater Thikwa & GRIPS Theater
Inclusion as a matter of course: How do we implement this as a cultural institution? What does that mean in concrete terms for day-to-day work in the theatre? Over the next three years, the GRIPS Theater and the Thikwa Theater will explore these questions together and on an equal footing.
THIKWA and GRIPS want to help ensure that artists with disabilities are better and better represented in artistic productions, both as creators and performers. This should lead to a self-evident visibility beyond the category specifics of inclusive theatre.
Social, artistic and political aspects are equally important to them in the forthcoming collaboration. Artists and employees of non-inclusive art production institutions should not only be open to working together in an inclusive framework, but also qualify.
As the highlight of their joint work, THIKWA and GRIPS present a production for children.
