The Kiev War Diary, an installation
Ukrainian artist Yevgenia Belorusets is a writer, photographer, action artist. From February 24 to April 5, 2022, she published daily reports from the Ukrainian capital Kiev, describing an everyday life whose normality was lost overnight in a brutal war of aggression.
Her war diary is the basis of the Mind Map developed for the Bundestag - a memory map that uses photos and text sequences to reconstruct the "beginning of the war" - the title of the book just published - day by day.
Until February 24, 2023, the exhibition can be visited as part of the guided art and architecture tours in the Reichstag building of the Visitors' Service (registrations exclusively at https://www.bundestag.de/besuch/anmeldung) and during special tours by Kristina Volke or Julia Pfannschmidt in weeks without sessions on the following days:
November 16, 2022: 5 p.m.
December 07, 2022: 2 p.m.
January 11, 2023: 5 p.m.
February 15, 2023: 2 p.m.
February 22, 2023: 5 pm
- To participate in one of the aforementioned Wednesday special tours, registration is required no later than the Friday before the tour by sending your full name and date of birth to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Binding registration is requested, as the number of participants is limited.
- You will need your identity card for the appointment itself.
- Access to the building is via the visitor center in front of the west portal of the Reichstag building.
