Christmas concert "Magnificat" in the Trinity Church

The biblical hymn of praise of Mary - Magnificat - has held composers of all epochs in thrall: from Gregorian chant to Palestrina, Bach and Mozart to Taizé singing.

The concert will feature different settings of the Magnificat by three composers - Antonio Vivaldi, Dietrich Buxtehude and Heinrich Schütz - scored for solos, choir and orchestra. The ArtVocal Ensemble enriches the program with a cappella works by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Peter Togni, Benjamin Britten and Wolf-Ferrari Ensemble with Christmas instrumental music.

The audience is invited to participate directly in the concert by singing Christmas carols together with the choirs. 

After the concert there will be the possibility to talk to each other and to finish the evening with a glass of sparkling wine, wine or similar.
