JCanadian drummer Gregory Eric Smith, composer and bandleader of Vortex Kollectief, does not like to be held back by conventions when navigating his musical paths.

When making compositional choices, he is primarily guided by intuitive preferences for addictive rhythms, abstract textures and intense electronic colours.
He also fully enjoys the input of the musicians in his band. The result is a lively sound that links everyday experiences to less worldly vibrations during an adventurous and exceptional expedition through an unknown musical domain.
