Klangwerkstatt Berlin 2026
Since its foundation in 2011, the Freie Jugendorchesterschule Berlin (FJOSB), which introduces even the youngest children to the joy of making music together in an orchestra through play, has been a regular guest at the Klangwerkstatt Berlin.

This year, too, it presents a rousing and experimental programme.
This year’s concert centres on the sun and its rays, growth and flourishing – themes that also symbolise the musical and personal development of the young musicians. The orchestra will perform both as a full ensemble and in smaller groups.
The programme features Konrad Fichtner’s short musical theatre piece *Frederick*, based on the children’s book of the same name by Leo Lionni. This is complemented by works by Jobst Liebrecht, Andreas Frey, Paul Leenhouts and Antoni Pocher, as well as compositions created during the FJOSB’s composition workshop.
