Virtual S*Exploration is a co-creative and art-educational project on sexuality and identity. Together with young people, the project elaborates a performative experience in virtual reality. The project aims to provide a framework in which young people can develop their sense of their needs and boundaries.
It also wants to discuss shame and its possible causes and question taboos. It is about norms and myths and the extent to which these are reflected and spread in the media; why such personal things as sexual orientation or gender identity are socially discussed and evaluated; and why it is worthwhile to be with oneself, to learn to recognize one's own values, abilities and limits, and to be open and appreciative towards oneself and others.
The project is accompanied by sexuality, social pedagogue and diversity trainer Daniela Thörner. Virtual S*Exploration helps to empower young people to be creative, competent questioners of themselves and their social environment.
