Documentary film & talk by and with filmmaker Barbara Wallbraun
The award-winning documentary had its cinema premiere in September 2020. It was then shown on ZDF and at the original filming locations such as the Sonntagsclub or the Gethsemanekirche in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. The film "Uferfrauen" portrays six lesbian women* who lived in the GDR.

The film sensitively lets the protagonists have their say, they tell their life story(s) in an open and honest way. The documentary was praised by the critics, awarded the debut prize of the Queerscopeverbands and the audience prize of the Lesbisch Schwulen Filmtage Hamburg.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk with Barbara Wallbraun and Christiane Seefeld, one of the protagonists of the film.
